Practice Advance Introduces Online Service for Trade Lawyers

WASHINGTON, DC – Practice Advance LLC today announced the release of a new online service for international trade lawyers, the International Trade Client and Competitor Database. Developed for practicing lawyers, the database includes detailed, up-to-date data about thousands of trade clients and matters, as well as data about the capabilities, clients, and marketing activities of other international trade practice groups.

Randy Miller, president of Practice Advance, notes, “From my own experience as an international trade lawyer for twenty years, I know how difficult it is to build and maintain a practice year after year, and how little information is available to identify opportunities and determine priorities. In today’s increasingly competitive environment, trade lawyers need more information about their market – which areas of trade work are busy and which are not, who represents whom, how their practice stacks up against the competition, which clients are open to changing firms. The International Trade Client and Competitor Database will be an invaluable source of insight to help lawyers grow their practices.”

The International Trade database includes detailed information about four primary areas: clients, matters, marketing, and personnel. The database covers the period from January 1, 2004 through July 1, 2005, and includes 2,250 clients, 4,800 trade matters and representations, 1,500 business development activities, and over 850 trade lawyers with 100 law firms. The database includes a broad range of trade practice activity – trade policy and legislative representations, antidumping and countervailing duty investigations, Section 201 and Section 337 cases, Court of International Trade and appellate cases, GSP reviews, USTR proceedings, FARA registrations, and Customs rulings. Marketing activity includes speeches, conferences, events, publications and news articles. The database will be updated quarterly. Subscribers also receive a print edition of key data.

The International Trade Client and Competitor Database is available directly from Practice Advance in Washington, DC. For additional information or a demonstration,
